Bridges to Active Citizenship
There
are many approaches to the goal of engaging citizens in civic
life, from youth engagement to community development, from service
and volunteering to voter participation and community organizing.
Session speakers will explore the relationship between community
organizing, voter participation, national service and other
civic engagement strategies. Come join a lively conversation
about the role that philanthropy should and must play in making
the connections among the various approaches in order to build
a more powerful collective effort.
