The loss of a child is an extremely devistating experience. It is so devistating that only parents who have experienced this type of loss first hand can truly know exactly what the parents are experiencing. Many parents who have experienced this say they are experencing grief, frustration and anger. However, what if there was a way that parents who are experincing this type of loss could be guided through it? Sure there is no magic wand that can relieve those emotions and feeling but there are things that can be done for it and that is exactly what A Small Victory does.
A Small Victory is a unique charity that was set up by two parents who went through the devistating event of losing a child. While they were riding out the emotions of grief, pain, frustration and anger they noticed that there was a lot of things that helped them through their difficult time. When they were able to finally "cope" with the loss they decided to dedicate a portion of their time to helping other parents who have experienced a similar loss and so A Small Victory was invented.
A Small Victory works to help parents who have lost their child through neonatal illnesses, stillborn or other events. What this charity does is it puts together a kit for the parents. This kit includes a number of items that other parents who have gone through this loss have found helpful. There could be informational cards, guidence books and even a small toy to help the parents through it. These kits come it tote bags that are distributed to families by the hospital that they were at and given to them as a way to help them through this hard time.
A Small Victory works on donations and charitable events, so if you are looking for a great unique charity to support, A Small Victory is always accepting donations.
